Information

According to Bronkhurst this sheet of studies was executed in the Haram-al-Sharif, Jerusalem, probably on 9 February 1876. The studies have been related to the design of the frame of the 1866 (?) painting of 'Miss Waugh' (Roberts, 1986) now in the collection of Lord Lloyd Webber. The frame must have been created some years after the portait as the date of the study is 1876.
