Information

This reproductive engraving after Edward Burne-Jones's 'Le Chant d'Amour' (oil on canvas, 1868-77, Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York) was published in London in 1896 by the Fine Art Society. The Printsellers' Association of 1912 records an edition, declared 20 January 1896, of 350 Artist's Proofs at 10 guineas, 25 Presentation Proofs. There was no other state and the plate was to be destroyed.
