Information

This is one of three textile designs registered on the 15 April 1875. It made use of twelve printing blocks which, with the original design, are now owned by the William Morris Gallery Walthamstow. 'Tulip' was manufactured for Morris & Co by Thomas Wardle in Leek, Staffordshire.This curtain were bought around 1886 and hung in the home of Mr and Mrs William Hulton, 6383 Calli della Testa, 55 Giovanni e Pacho, Venice until 1936.
