Width: 162 mm Height: 107 mm InformationFrom a bound volume containing 86 studies for illustrations to 'The Story of Cupid and Psyche' made to accompany the poem in William Morris''The Earthly Paradise'.This design was not executed as a wood engraving, although a final design on tracing paper ready for transfer to the block is at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. The design reappeared in the 'Cupid and Psyche' murals painted for George Howard, 9th Earl of Carlisle at his house at 1 Palace Green, Kensington.
