Information

A study for the 'The Story of Cupid and Psyche' made to accompany the poem in William Morris''The Earthly Paradise'. Verso is the study of a hand gripping the hilt of a sword. It is possible that this is a study for St. George in 'The Return of St. George & the Princess' from the St. George series, executed at the same time with Burne-Jones's Cupid & Psyche .
