Width: 91 mm Height: 129 mm InformationAccording to Betty Elzea, Sandys took this tracing from the ilustrated catalogue of the Bernal Collection published in 1857 ('Frederick Sandys 1829-1904: A Catalogue RaisonnĂ©, p. 151). His patron James Bulwer is known to have had a copy of the catalogue in his library. The identity of the sitter in the original painting has now been questioned (see John Rowlands, 'Holbein,' Oxford 1985). Formerly attributed to Ford Madox Brown.
