The book included landscape sketches and drawings of figures and landscapes copied fom prints. Jerome Peat identified the landscape sketch as a copy of the etching 'Low House on the Bank of a Canal' by Pieter de With (fl. 1660) (unpublished catalogue of Sandys drawings at Birmingham, 1978).
