Information

Betty Elzea identifies this as one of six drawings in the collection which were originally part of the same sketchbook. The book included landscape sketches and drawings of figures and landscapes copied fom prints. Jerome Peat identified the landscape sketch as a copy of the etching 'Low House on the Bank of a Canal' by Pieter de With (fl. 1660) (unpublished catalogue of Sandys drawings at Birmingham, 1978).
