Information

The finished design for Manoli is now in a private collection (no. 2.B.46 in Elzea). According to Elzea (p. 214), the design illustrated a poem by W. M. W. Call entitled 'Manoli, a Moldo-Wallachian Legend' and was engraved by Joseph Swain, published in the Cornhill Magazine, vol. 6, September 1862, p. 346.
