Information

This is a study for the figure of the angel helping a child say his prayers in Ford Madox Brown's painting 'Oure Ladye of Saturday Night.' Another sheet of studies in Birmingham's collection shows early prepatory drawings for this figure including a nude study of a woman done from life and a detailed drapery study of the angel's left sleeve (1906P673).LM
