This is a study for the apostle on the far right whose hands are raised in wonder. On the other side is a sketch of a child most likely for 'The Spirit of Justice,' a cartoon Brown was working on at the same time and entered into the third competition to decorate the interior of the newly rebuilt Houses of Parliament in 1845.LM
