Information

Also known as 'The Meeting of Dante and Beatrice in Paradise', here Dante has just died and Beatrice has been dead for some time. This would appear to be more of an abandoned rather than a preparatory composition. It shows little correspondence to the finalised watercolour in the Fitzwilliam Museum, which lacks the intimacy of this drawing.
