Information
This is a sketch of one of Rossetti's two aunts. She wears a severe quaker-type bonnet which is relieved by fur lining. The Polidoris became Anglicans on their move to London. There is a larger and more finished drawing of the same sitter in the same pose in a private collection (Surtees, no. 411).
