Information

This is one of four studies of 'Charity' related to a watercolour which is dated 1867-72 (now in the Collection of Lord Lloyd-Webber). It was developed from a stained glass cartoon for a three-light window by Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co. in Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford. The watercolour was exhibited at the Old Watercolour Society, 1870, and New Gallery in 1892-93, and again in 1898-99.
