Information

A study for the 'The Story of Cupid and Psyche' made to accompany the poem in William Morris''The Earthly Paradise'. This is possibly a study for the same figure as in 1927P648.17, probably for the illustration of 'Psyche rising from Cupid's Bed'. The pose is similar to that of Ingres''La Source', a favourite of Rossetti.
