St John stands on the left, turned slightly to the right, and holding in his right hand a chalice, from which issues a serpent. On the right stands St Peter, full-face, looking down at a book, which he holds in both hands.This cartoon also appears in the Morris & Co Windows Book, 1940P604.2, as number 605.
