Width: 162 mm Height: 113 mm InformationA study for the sixth painting in the series of seven canvases illustrating 'The Story of St George' for the dining room of the artist Myles Birket Foster, at Witley, Surrey. One of fifteen studies for this subject in Birmingham's collection. This composition differs considerably from the final design, and is extremely energetic and vigourous. A gouache version, omitting the Princess, is owned by William Morris Museum, Walthamstow.
