Width: 142 mm Height: 222 mm InformationThis page from 'Once a Week' (23 March 1861, vol. 4, p. 350) includes a German ballad by Uhland, translated by Julia Goddard, and its accompanying illustration 'Yet once more on the organ play' by Sandys. His design was engraved by Joseph Swain. The illustration was reused by Walter Thornbury in his anthology 'Historical and Legendary Ballads and Songs' (pub. 1876, p. 87) where it accompanied his poem 'Tintoretto' (Betty Elzea, 'Frederick Sandys 1829-1904: A Catalogue Raisonné,' p. 203).
