After seven months at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, the Perseus Series display will now close to the public on Sunday 20th September, and not 4th October as incorrectly advertised, to enable it to return to the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart.  We sincerely apologise for this error and any inconvenience it may cause.

The gallery will reopen to the public with major works from the museum’s world-famous Pre-Raphaelite Collection on Saturday 26th September.

The Perseus series of paintings by Birmingham-born artist Sir Edward Burne-Jones are currently on display at Birmingham Museums & Art Gallery. The paintings are on loan from Stuttgart's Staatsgalerie. It is the first time the complete set of eight paintings has been shown in the UK. The exhibition is supplemented by sketches for the Perseus series from Birmingham's collection.
