Can I arrange a group visit for my students?

School sessions at our museums are free but subject to availability so be sure to request a visit well in advance. To arrange a visit to one of our sites please call us by telephone on +44 (0) 121 303 8775 or use the online booking form on the Schools Liaison website.

Visitors to the Print Room should be aged 14 or over. Organised group visits for schools, colleges and adult groups can be arranged. Please provide at least a week’s notice. Please contact the Curatorial Department for details on +44 (0) 121 303 8775 or via email

Can I see the works on this website in person?

There are numerous Pre-Raphaelite works of art on display at Birmingham Museums & Art Gallery. There are two Pre-Raphaelite galleries and a gallery devoted to Birmingham born artist Edward Burne-Jones.

If you plan to journey to Birmingham to see a specific work of art please contact us in advance as occasionally a particular work of art may be out on loan or in conservation.

It is possible to view the prints and drawings viewable on this website in person. Please make an appointment to visit the Print Room prior to your visit to Birmingham Museums. Three days notice is required. The print Room is open from Monday to Friday, 10am – 5pm. Please contact the Curatorial Department for details via email or by phoning +44 (0) 121 303 8775.

Do I need plug-in's or Javascript to use the site?

We have made every effort to make sure the site works across platforms and without the need for special plug-in's or software.

For an improved user experience and to take advantage of the sites unique features we recommend that you have Javascript enabled.

In order to be able to zoom in on images you need to install the Microsoft Silverlight plug-in.
